Your foreground and background colors are close in brightness — this may make the code harder to scan. Consider more contrast.

How to make an event QR code
- Enter the event name and, optionally, the location.
- Set the start time and, if you like, the end time. Times are converted to UTC inside the code, so calendars show them correctly in every time zone.
- Download the code and place it on your invitation, poster, ticket or slide.
Make sure every guest can use it
- Calendar codes are read differently by different phones: some cameras offer "Add to calendar", others just show the event text. Print the date, time and venue in words next to the code as well.
- Scan the code yourself before printing and check the times shown in your calendar.
- Need an RSVP form or event page instead? Use the URL type on the main generator and point it to that page.
Printing codes on products you sell? A standard QR code can be copied by anyone. Secure QR codes are issued per product and verified live, so copies get flagged.
FAQ
Common questions
A calendar event in the standard iCalendar format: the event name, optional location, start time and optional end time.
Yes. The times are stored in UTC, and calendar apps convert them to each guest's local time.
No — the details are stored in the code itself. If the date or venue changes, generate and print a new code, or use a URL code that points to an event page you can edit.
Yes. Every QR type, every customization option, and every download format on this page is free, with no account, no payment, and no limit on how many codes you generate.
No. Generation, customization, and every download happen entirely in your browser — the content you type (a Wi-Fi password, a phone number, an address) never reaches our servers. When you download, print, copy, or share a code, we log which QR type was used along with your IP address and browser user agent, for our own usage analytics. Nothing you typed is included.
This free tool generates a standard QR code from whatever you type — anyone can read it with any scanner. Qrauthix's Simple and Secure QR codes are different: they're issued against a real product record and verified live against Qrauthix's database, with Secure QR additionally requiring the Qrauthix mobile app and a one-time challenge, so it never verifies in a plain browser and repeated scans of a copied code get flagged.
