One scanner, three kinds of code

What the Qrauthix app scans

Ordinary QR

Everyday QR codes

Links, menus, posters, business cards — any standard QR code. No need for a separate scanner app.

Simple QR

Instant product checks

Products with a Qrauthix Simple QR code are checked live against the brand's catalog, with the product name, brand, and batch shown when genuine.

Secure QR

App-only verification

Secure QR codes on high-value products can only be verified in this app, using a one-time challenge for every scan.

How to scan a QR code with the Qrauthix app

1

Install the app

Download Qrauthix from Google Play on your Android phone.

2

Point your camera

Open the app and hold the QR code inside the frame. Make sure it's well lit and not creased.

3

Read the result

Ordinary codes show their content. Product codes show "Verified — Genuine Product" with details, or why the code couldn't be verified.

Scanning QR codes safely

A QR code can point anywhere, and a fake sticker over a real code is an easy trick. Whatever app you use:

  • Check the web address before you open a link, and be wary of shortened or misspelled domains.
  • Look for stickers placed over the original code on parking meters, posters, and payment terminals.
  • Don't enter passwords or payment details on a page you reached from an unexpected QR code.
  • Genuine Qrauthix product codes always open on qrauthix.com.

Not yet. The app is currently available for Android on Google Play.

Only for Secure QR codes. A Qrauthix Simple QR code opens a verification page in any phone camera or browser; a Secure QR code can only be verified in the Qrauthix app.

The result tells you why — for example, the code is inactive, expired, already used, or not recognized. Don't treat that product as verified; contact the brand or the seller you bought it from.

No, location is optional. If you allow it, approximate location is recorded with the verification and helps detect copied codes being scanned in places a real product couldn't be. See our Privacy Policy for details.
